Italien Vegetarisch was written by Claudio Del Principe and published by Brandstätter Verlag. It is the most successful German language vegetarian cook book dedicated to Italian cuisine and is currently in its fourth publication run.

The book is jam-packed with hearty traditional recipes from all regions such as parmigiana, ribollita, pancotto, minestrone, carciofi alla romana, gnocchi di patate, pasta e fagioli as well as many classic favourites and hidden treasures. All are vegetarian. Many even vegan. Although nobody in Italy puts them in such boxes. They are simply tasty dishes.

Claudio Del Principe divides the dishes into antipasti, soups, salads, pasta, risotto, polenta, fruit plates and desserts. The recipes are sorted into five seasons, easy to cook and suitable for every day. And not to mention, the food photography (also by the author) is extremely appealing.
